What data does WonderMind store?

Grown-up email and name, a child's first name and avatar, learning artifacts, hashed PINs, and optional anonymous analytics.

Child records are small on purpose

No home address, no school name, no birthday beyond an age integer, no photos. Progress lives as proficiency maps, curriculum state, and artifacts the learner made.

Analytics

Privacy-first analytics are off unless explicitly enabled. When on, they store an anonymous id, a whitelisted event name, and non-PII properties. You can opt out from the Privacy page.

Where it lives

Local demo uses SQLite. Production should use managed Postgres, backups, and a retention policy reviewed by counsel. See the Privacy policy for the legal wording.

How do I export a learner's data?
Parents and learners can download a JSON archive from Controls or WonderVault. Export is a rights request — it works on Free. Classroom xAPI dumps stay on classroom-capable plans.
How do I delete a learner's data?
Open the child's Controls tab, type their name to confirm, and delete the profile. Related learning data is removed with it.
How does WonderMind approach COPPA and GDPR-K?
The product is designed around parental consent, data minimization, PIN login, and in-product export and deletion. Those are design choices. They are not a finished legal program, and this site does not claim 'COPPA-first' as a compliance badge.
